The Grillo Family

Carmen Grillo was born on May 28,1887 in Sersale, Italy . He came to the United States in 1897. He arrived in New York aboard the ship "The Cleveland ".

 

 

Carmen had arrived from Italy in 1913 and boarded with the Frank Rizzo family until his wife Mary and son Joe arrived to join him. The other children, Theresa, Tony, Sarah and John were born in Clermont. Joe worked at Quaker State Refinery for many years. He passed away and is buried in St Elizabeth Cemetery in Smethport.  John graduated from Penn State University and moved to Missouri . Tony married and lives in Lewis Run, PA with his wife Rose. Both girls worked for Sylvania, married and live in Emporium, PA.
